“Don’t be afraid to ask for help and to accept offers of help. We had a wedding party of 8 bridesmaids and 4 ushers and their help and support with all the details was incredible and one of the most meaningful things about the whole event.”

Give yourself plenty of time with payments, we kept thinking we had a while left to pay things off and then everything seemed to come around quickly, all around the same time what we had left – I would definitely recommend paying things of as soon as you possibly can.
Everyone always says this as well but it’s your day – plan it exactly how you want it – we were very lucky as we don’t have demanding friends and family but I read so much about the stresses soon to be brides and grooms are put under by people who shouldn’t be adding stress and it makes me really mad!

Try to take a step back, think about what is important to you as a couple and spend the majority of your resources and energy on that – for us it was making sure we had amazing food and wine, followed by plenty of free alcohol for our guests – as we knew that’s what they’d appreciate, and we were so thankful to them for traveling so far to celebrate our special day with us.
Also, during your wedding day, we would advise you both to take 10-15minutes to yourselves to take a step back, savour the moment and observe everything that’s going on around you, as the day goes by so quickly and will be over before you’ve had a chance to appreciate it all.
