Thanh and Nicholas met in autumn 2009 in statistics class. Nick found a seat in class in the back row, and the professor posted a survey question on the board and asked the class to answer. Pulling out his iClicker, Nick went to answer the question but soon realised that his clicker had run out of power. Turning to his right, he tapped on his neighbour’s shoulder; as she turned to face him, he saw how beautiful she was and immediately turned nervous and shy. “This is embarrassing,” he said, pointing to his iClicker, “but I forgot to put new batteries in my clicker. Would you happen to have a spare?”. Thanh laughed and said “No, sorry! I’m also out of batteries.” Turning to her right, she asked to share another classmate’s clicker between the three of them. Luckily for Nick, his answers impressed her and she invited him to join her statistics class team for an assignment.
Teamwork turned into talking, then talking turned into a coffee date in the rain, and their first date turned into a second, and the rest is history!
From the groom: “For this engagement session, we wanted to show off our fun side and something that we both enjoy which is baseball. We love getting outside in the summer under the sun, throwing the ball around and swinging the bat. It is my favourite sport and one that Thanh has learned to play and love as well. Every year, as often as we can, we go down to the ballpark and cheer on the Blue Jays.”

Just 30 minutes south of San Francisco, sits a magical coastal community called Half Moon Bay. It was the perfect spot for this engagement shoot for Jessica and Brandon because it’s filled with breathtaking coastal scenery and it’s where Jessica got to grow up. Although she and Brandon live ‘over the hill’ near San Mateo now, they love making it back to her hometown for the coastal beauty and to visit Jessica’s family.
During their engagement photo shoot they had amazing morning light, and their first stop was in the magical cypress forest at Fitzgerald Marine Reserve in Moss Beach. The light beams poured through the trees as Jessica and Brandon wandered around the forest and Cat Cutillo Photography & Video captured candids. The marine reserve is right down the street from Jessica’s family’s home and it was always a special location she came to throughout her childhood. After soaking up the unmatchable beauty at the reserve, Jessica did a wardrobe change and they headed over to Dunes Beach in Half Moon Bay, CA, which looks like such a gorgeous oasis on the ocean with a serene coastal trail that winds along the beach. loved touring around the beach trails with them and kicking our shoes off for a beachside shoot. All in
We love the photos of this couple touring around the trails for a beachside shoot! Thank you so much to Cat Cutillo Photography & Video for sharing these images with us.
Kate and Mike met at Virginia Tech, he was a computer programmer and Kate was completing her studies in economics. They initially met online and had their first date at the Au Bon Pan on the Virginia Tech campus, where they each drank numerous cups of tea and chatted for hours. In the summer of 2016, they planned a two-week trip to Europe. Mike proposed in the small town of Bacharach, Germany, on a hill overlooking the Rhine River. You can really tell just how smitten they are with one another in these photos. Hahn Horticulture Garden looks like it has endless photo opportunities surrounded by beautiful greenery, succulents, and florals.
Jasmine White Photography was kind enough to let us share these photos with you today.
Lexy and Ryan have been engaged since November 2015 and are getting married this September. Their beautiful engagement shoot was at Shorncliffe Pier in Queensland – the pier itself is actually Brisbane’s largest timber pier and was constructed in the 1880s, and it looks like a lovely place for a wander around on a bright and sunny (typical Australian) day!
Thank you so much to Brischetto Photography for sharing these gorgeous photos with us!
Biltmore Estate looks SO gorgeous with its lush, blooming gardens surrounding the castle itself. Jessica and Corbin are season pass holders to The Biltmore, so they had free reign of the whole place, and the weather was certainly on their side to make for an even more fantastic engagement shoot.
The Biltmore Estate in Asheville, North Carolina was actually this photographer’s number one wedding bucket list location to shoot. We’re very grateful that Jasmine White Photography shared these beautiful photos with us.
