This styled shoot was something new and intimate, an elegant classic wedding with a circle seating candlelit ceremony. Showcasing a color palette of gold, champagne, blush, and eggplant, with a gorgeous blush dress with dainty details. The circle ceremony seating and dimmed lights with candles are not very common lighting for ceremonies and although we’re huge lovers of light, we do like the dimmer intimate feel of this part of the shoot. Gold is so in right now, and the styled shoot team wanted to showcase gold accents, including gold flatware and the beautiful white opera style chairs with a white lacquer table.

The idea for this styled shoot began when Theresa Wooner Photography drew inspiration from the pieces handcrafted by Sarah Cosper of Lux Exteriors and the idea was then brought to Irma Green at Simply Chic Events to be developed and materialised. The vendors wanted to create something unique, jaw-dropping, and original with some influences from trends that they all adore. As they collaborated and the shoot truly began to take shape, they say that they were mesmerised by what they had fashioned: an enchanting bridal shoot complete with crystals, iridescence, and touches of black and gold.

This styled shoot shines a spotlight on the cake and centerpiece details using simple lush greenery such as flat leaf eucalyptus, dusty miller, succulents and air plants with just a pop of color with the burgundy cymbidium orchids on the white iced cake.
Lainey and Wyatt happily tied the knot last summer on a beautiful farm in the Pacific Northwest foothills of Mt. Hood, however they had hoped for a few more bridal portraits, so they signed up for a casting call put out by some local bridal show producers and they were accepted for an afternoon of pampering and portraits! The theme was “Vintage Country Fair” which focused on lovely bright colors, vintage fabrics, and props and was beautifully coordinated by Simply Elegant Occasions with rentals by Little Red Wagon Rentals.

In the heart of Bohemia, now the Czech Republic, you can find old world romance on the Charles Bridge; an iconic symbol that has stood the test of time, a gateway able to take you to another time and place. The statues lining the bridge are ominous, mystical, gilded, and it’s this mystical mood that the vendors wanted to capture in this styled shoot.
The bride’s stunning Kelly Faetanini gown with gilded accents and gold leaf tiara by Eden Luxe Bridal are the perfect starting point for this styled wedding shoot. Black paper goods with gilded ink echo the ominous statues while the blush, plum, and rich wine hues of the florals, cake, and the tablescape are deeply romantic. The model bride and groom are at the center of this mystical romance – and, their tender embraces reveal a deep and abiding love… a tale as old as time and as timeless as the Charles Bridge.

From Amanda at White Ivy Events:
“The inspiration for this shoot came from my experience working in Minneapolis planning weddings. I wanted to bring a more modern, industrial vibe to the Iowa wedding scene. When I saw Eastbank, I knew it would be the perfect place to pull off a shoot like this. All the modern details just came together after that. The geometric pieces, hanging cake, and mixed metals were all unique pieces that tied the theme together.”
Eastbank Venue & Lounge is located in the heart of downtown Cedar Rapids and is in an old Smulekoff’s building which has been renovated and turned into a beautiful venue.
There are so many things about this styled shoot that we love – the dress, the makeup, the flowers, the calligraphy, oh my gosh it’s all just so beautiful our little hearts are going crazy!

From Honeybee Events…”This elopement/honeymoon styled shoot at Fort Loudon Marina in Knoxville, Tennessee was ideal for our models (who had been married 2 weeks previously) was nothing short of amazing! This duo was incredible and set the tone for the shoot. I wanted the shoot to tell a story from the moment they walked onto the boat dock with their luggage, to mapping out their sailing journey (also representative of their recent marriage and journey they were embarking on). The Red Boat Photography husband and wife team are super talented and SO much fun to work with. LB Floral created an over-the-top floral design for the back of the boat to display the “Just Married” sign.”
Thank you to Red Boat Photography for sharing these beautiful photos with us!
