Romantic Rustic Wedding at Lindsey Plantation – Greer, South Carolina – Corinn & Paul
Corinn and Paul met in high school when they were both in ninth grade. They had Spanish class together during the spring semester of that year. They first became interested in each other when they were placed in the same group for a project. They started talking, he asked for her phone number, and she often switched seats with the person next to him so that they could sit together in class. He asked her to be his girlfriend on the last day of the school year and the rest is history!
They had a lot of similar interests before they started dating, but as they spent more and more time together, their interests and hobbies really morphed together. As Clemson University grads, they both love spending Saturdays in the fall at Memorial Stadium tailgating and watching the Tigers play! They both also love spending time outdoors, especially on the lake. But their love for Jesus and each other makes their relationship most special. “With God at the centre of our relationship, we know we won’t fail!”
When it came to the proposal, Corinn said “I can home from work on a typical Monday night and saw Paul’s car in the driveway. I was instantly excited to see that he had just driven up spur of the moment to surprise me and have dinner (at the time I lived an hour away). Little did I know, I was in for a much bigger surprise. He left a note on my door saying to walk down to the water behind the house where he was waiting on me. As I walked down to the dock, I didn’t see him but a bouquet of roses and another note. At the time, I don’t think I was even processing what all the note said because tears were streaming down my face, and out he came from behind me where he was hiding in the bushes. He then got down on one knee and asked me to marry him… I said yes! His note to me is absolutely the sweetest thing, and highlights everything I love about him. I still read it very often. Paul is definitely a planner… there were 8 roses in the bouquet symbolizing the 8 years we had been together. I knew the proposal might be coming at some point that spring, but the day of was a complete surprise… the best surprise!”
Corinn’s ring is a beautiful round diamond with intertwining twists of tiny diamonds on both sides. Paul did an awesome job picking it out, and even paid attention to the Pinterest hints she had given him over time!
