Southern High School Sweethearts Wedding – Covington, Georgia – Paty & Brandon

Paty and Brandon knew each other throughout high school and were both in band. In their senior year, Brandon was the drum major and Paty was the dance captain, a match made in heaven. Coincidentally, their band directors were a married team, so they spent a lot of time travelling to middle schools and other trips for recruitment and leadership. During the autumn, Brandon began asking Paty out to the movies just about every weekend, then in February, after multiple attempts at asking Paty to be his girlfriend, Brandon gave up hope and decided that college was just around the corner, so he would let things be. However, Paty had other plans. She called Brandon randomly just to talk and when he eventually asked her again about dating, she said yes! Although they ended up at separate colleges, they made a long distance relationship work for four years, and finally during graduate school got to live in the same place in Athens, Georgia.

When Paty was on an externship in San Diego, California for the end of October, Brandon was planning to fly out and surprise her and propose on the Sunset Cliffs near La Jolla. She found out about his flight so he had to play it off as a Halloween surprise! She was suspicious but didn’t know for sure. Brandon hired a car that pulled her up to the Sunset Cliffs and was there waiting with a bench, beautiful flowers, and a ring! They celebrated with a party cruise for Halloween and it was a blast.

Their wedding looks like it was a dream! They were inspired by nature and had lots of greenery, with their venue on a river. They enjoyed live music from a guitarist and a special bible reading from the Father of the Bride among other beautiful events during the day.
