A Bohemian Romance
Chanel and Tynell (the Bride & Groom models), are still a young couple, so this styled shoot team wanted to keep the shoot authentic to them. They asked the couple the secret to their relationship and they said , “We laugh at lot together!” Therefore, the team designed a shoot called A Bohemian Romance. Figure Eight Floral & Events, has a love for boho florals and it just so happened so did Chanel.
They chose the Etiwanda Preserve in Rancho Cucamonga as the venue for the shoot because it’s an outdoor wildlife preserve representing the preservation of this couples love (being that they are actually married but never had a wedding).
We are so in love with this cake which uses watercolor in the design to represent keeping love vibrant, unique and fun. Chanel’s daughter, Maddox loves unicorns, so the team thought that since she is the initial inspiration behind this shoot adding unicorn elements not only spoke to keeping love young, it gave them another moment to give Maddox more than just her mother as a princess but the opportunity to see her as a unicorn as well.
For the colour palette, jeweled tones of fuchsia, lavender with light blue and gold accents were chosen to make sure this was a vibrant outdoor shoot. These tones also helped to keep the shoot design fun. Bohemian elements were captured throughout the shoot and overlapped with watercolor and unicorn magic within the floral designs, furniture rental, attire and linens (dyed by Code Peach Events).
You’ll notice macramé and subtle dream catcher centerpieces. The dream catchers are also symbolic of the teams desire to encourage this couple to keeping living out their dreams together. It was important to capture fun and romantic wedding moments in this shoot for each scene selected. The day began with what they called a tree of love and had the floral crowned bohemian princess bride conduct her shots in this space.
The furniture selected in this styled shoot was from Provenance Rentals, inventory was not only Bohemian, but vintage chic, this vintage furniture represented a forever love. They also threw in their “Good Vibes” pillow to keep a consistent fun theme. The sweetheart table look was set up with a heavy boho feel using the macramé, dream catcher floral centerpieces, watercolour dipped macrame runner, and the gorgeous peacock chairs. The guest reception setup could also be made into a sweetheart table area at a reception so this team included the happy couple in some of the shots.
Hats off to the baker, Sugar Salt and Crumbs who designed a two tier watercolour cake and watercolour initialed cookies. These look so beautiful and we love that the couple actually got to cut the cake and feed it to each other like they would have on their real wedding date! They also threw in a little bit of tradition by saving the top layer to eat a year from this styled shoot date January 27, 2019.
The shoot ended by surprising the couple with a final send off in style. They danced their way off in a fuchsia coloured smoke bomb as each of these talented wedding vendors sang to them!
As well as these beautiful images you see below, there was a videographer on the team, MacKenzie Marts of For the Honor Productions, who filmed the entire styled shoot. She created several videos and the team are planning to surprise the couple with a wedding video!
The couple, Chanel and Tynell Payton said this was a dream come true. Now, this will be a day that they forever celebrate, as one of their wedding dates! Some of the most rewarding work for all parties involved.
