All the beautiful flowers available – Ana Beatriz & Marcel

Ana Beatriz and Marcel met at a bar, on a Friday after work. They actually closed the bar that night – at 4:30a.m. All of their friends had left, it was just the two of them at the bar, talking and talking. Since then, they have been together and plan to be for the rest of their lives.

Their best man actually introduced them. He, along with Ana’s uncle, had wanted to set them up for some time. They were planning a blind date, but, this night it was not planned, they just happened to be at the same bar. Everyone thought they were going to be a perfect match, and not to brag, but they were absolutely right!

It was their fifth year anniversary when Marcel proposed. They didn’t have dinner reservations so they ended up strolling around Old San Juan. They were just sitting on a bench in Paseo La Princesa when Marcel kneeled down, asked the question and Ana Beatriz says she could not stop crying. He hid the ring inside his sock.

When it came to their wedding vision, Ana said “Garden. Garden. Garden”. Her grandmother loved flowers and she could not think of a better way to have her present in their wedding and celebrate with them than to create a garden out of their wedding. They had the most amazing flowers which were distributed in different colours according to the table shapes. Long tables in blue, round tables in pink and square tables in yellow. With flowers hanging from the ceiling, Ana and Marcel had their own garden wedding inside the Museum of Art – don’t you agree it looks absolutely stunning?

To Ana and Marcel, the most important thing when it came to wedding planning was to make sure everything was completely planned ahead so that they could enjoy their day. Food was definitely something they splurged on.

For their favours, they wanted something that their guests could use later. So, they thought giving out canvas bags would be a nice idea. Then, they talked to Edwin Guevarez, an artist who helped them create a beautiful design. They used the name of a song from Juan Luis Guerra, “Tu tienes la llave de mi corazon” (in English, you have the key to my heart) as inspiration. It came out perfect, with just their initials and wedding date to subtly remember that wonderful wedding day it was.
