Blue Green Titletown District Wedding – Briana & Jeff
Briana and Jeff met at a bar in downtown Green Bay. She kept talking to Jeff because of how different he was from other guys. He was a gentleman, even though she sat in his Chevy truck (her dad’s a Ford guy). The proposal is something they say that they will never forget. They were home during Christmas time and Jeff planned a photo shoot for them; his friend was “starting his business” and they were the guinea pigs. Briana says, “Yea right. Oh before I forget, one of the main reasons it was unforgettable was that this took place on December 27. In Wisconsin. Outside. In negative 15 degree weather! We did our photo shoot which turned out really well actually. The last photos I turned around to face the frozen bay and Jeff got down on one knee and asked me to turn around. Awesome proposal, but very cold.”
Their wedding theme was greenery. The space they picked had windows overlooking beautiful trees outside. They both love the outdoors and had their engagement photos up north at the family cabin. They were married in the church that Briana grew up going to. She knew immediately that she wanted to get married at a church. “The blessings and the homily that were read were beautiful. The deacon that married us also has a special place within our families. Lastly, we’re from Green Bay. Obviously we needed to incorporate the Green Bay Packers somehow but I didn’t want pictures at Lambeau because everybody does that. We took pictures at the new Titletown District; this gave us that Packer vibe we wanted.”
The wedding space was decorated with greenery, mason jars, a little woodsy whimsical feel. They didn’t want anything too rustic or barnyard feel. What was created was the perfect touch of green, woodsy and classic. There was an assortment of mason jars so they weren’t all the same. Briana ordered a variety of white flowers and green pieces from Costco for the reception site. Another special piece of decoration included a decades wedding photo table. This included both of Briana and Jeff’s parents and grandparents. Her godmother also had given them a beautiful wooden customised cross with their names and date on it to accent this table.
When it came to the florals, they ordered their bouquets, ceremony flowers, and boutonnieres from Nature’s Best and they say the service was fantastic. “Josh was WONDERFUL. He knows his stuff. I wasn’t too picky on what flowers were used, with the price in mind though. The bouquets were a pretty combination of greens, whites and then a hint of light pink. The reception flowers were from Costco and again an assortment of whites and greens.”
The wedding day was personalised beginning with the entrance music for the processional. The Rest of Our Life (instrumental) was played for this. Beautiful piece, and Briana wanted something different which suited them as a couple. They surprised their guests with a fun first dance song! And she spontaneously sang her favourite song at some point during the evening.
“The whole day was beyond my imagination and everything was beautiful! The weather was gorgeous, the first look with my dad, a family prayer with just my sister and parents, the fun we had on the bus and making a potty stop to Cabelas! The first dance song, the speeches.”
Briana admits that she was quite picky on her dress, and for good reason! Her dress was an ivory/champagne fit and flare. Lots of beading, because she loves sparkles. Straps, open V-back. She added a sparkle belt to customise the dress. Lace bottom and train. She borrowed one of her bridesmaids’ veil and it worked perfectly. Her shoes were a simple half inch sandal with an embellished centrepiece.
For the men’s attire, they went to Jason Louis. Briana’s matron of honour recently got married and they had recommended this place to them. Everything turned out great, good deals on the suits and even went well for their out of state friends standing up.
