Blushing Bridal Shower – Theresa
Mandi’s bridal shower was inspired by their honeymoon destination, Greece. The Mediterranean ambience was felt throughout the shower décor. Maid of Honor, Hailey Lillard of Detailed Touch Events, wanted to combine that Mediterranean mood with all the pretty vibrant colours that the bride wanted to incorporate in her shower décor. The paper goods were decorated with a simple and sophisticated olive branch motif to compliment the abundance of beautiful flowers that lined the single long table. All the guests were seated together much like most large families would sit and eat together in Greece for a special occasion. Each place setting had a beautiful blue napkin wrapped around a personalized menu with an olive branch on top and every guest chair had an olive branch wreath tied with ribbon to the back. Adding those simple touches helped embody the theme throughout the event and elevated the guest experience. Rustic and natural elements were incorporated within the X-back farm chairs, the woven chargers and the linen lounge furniture.
To break up the rustic and add a hint of glam, rose gold elements were brought in to add that touch of girlie and to add visual texture to the design. The shower was held at a local Mediterranean restaurant where the cultural food was represented throughout. The only non-negotiable was the bride’s favourite (non-Mediterranean) desserts! Personal touches that represented the bride were seen throughout the shower; from the various aged photos that were hung inside woven wreaths to her favourite perfume, Miss Dior, given out as game prizes. The day was spent with great food, fun games and lots of laughter. The shower ended with a special party favour given to each guest. Each guest was able to take home a beautifully wrapped Parmesan and truffle oil from Williams Sonoma.
