Braxted Park Wedding – Emma & Tom

Emma and Tom met at a work conference and were together for a while before he decided to pop the question. Tom told Emma to book a few days off work for her birthday and they went to a really pretty hotel in Oxfordshire and he proposed on the walk back from dinner on the night before her birthday. Emma says that she didn’t see it coming at all, “I was in complete shock”! He proposed with the perfect ring for her because he’d overheard her with a couple of friends all discussing what rings we’d like (classic girl conversation) at the pub a couple of months beforehand and he went to buy the exact ring she’d described!

They tied the knot at All Saints Church, a short drive away from the stunning Braxted Park wedding venue in Witham. Their mornings started at the venue where they were both getting ready, Emma in the bridal suite with the girls and Tom in the cottage with the boys. Everyone was totally chilled in the morning whilst the final preparations were taking place.

Despite having rain for most of the day they still got some lovely photographs, and as a stroke of good luck, Emma and Tom managed to get to Braxted Park with the roof down on their wedding car and within ten minutes of being back at the venue the rain started again!

Both of them say that the highlights of their wedding day were in the church. Emma says her favourite part was “when I walked into church with my Dad and got to the front and saw Tom and we were like omg we’re actually getting married. Also enjoyed all the bits I was nervous about like saying the vows and doing the first dance.”
