Central PA wedding filled with southern charm – Marisa & Brendan

Marisa and Brendan met in college at Wilkes University. Marisa says that was terrified to speak to him, and he referred to her as the girl in the green dress because he was terrified to speak to her as well. They ended up learning each other's names through mutual friends. They freakishly have a lot of things in common which they always joke about. "We're both left-handed, both have 3 siblings, both of our families have 3 boys and 1 girl, we both only have our paternal grandmother still with us and love basketball."

"I told him I wanted to be around family when he proposed. He proposed in our new home with family and friends around us during a holiday party we were hosting."

When it came to wedding planning, they started pinning things and looking at wedding inspiration pictures. "I love grey and gold! We looked at our overall image and ended up with grey, gold, and navy blue; and laughed because I call Brendan out all the time for only wearing grey or blue so it was funny that our wedding ended up those colors without planning it purposely. We really wanted a rustic indoor/outdoor wedding, but quickly learned the last thing an Italian/Irish wedding will be is small!!! We booked our venue in pure construction, due to it being completely remodeled. When we walked in we both looked at each other and had a sense of relief with how much space it had and knew it was the venue for us. I am all about making things my own so I was up for the challenge, and the renovations turned out beautiful with a touch of the rustic we were looking for. My dream wedding is a light airy look, with a bunch of gold accents and greenery. I am not much of a color person, either is Brendan. All of our flowers are going to be white hydrangeas and O'Hara roses."

"My wedding band is made out of my grandmother's wedding band which is very sentimental to me. My grandmother was an amazing seamstress and made my mothers wedding gown. She is unfortunately no longer with us so my mother had my garter, ring bearer pillow and a small drawstring purse made out of her wedding dress."

The girls got ready at Marisa's parent's house and it looks like a beautiful setting! After the nuptials, they drove to a horse farm in Lewisburg that came right out of Southern Weddings Magazine. Later They got to dance the night away with 200+ friends and family! They even had the perfect ending to a perfect night - a drop-dead gorgeous sunset for an amazing sparkler exit.
