Classy Romantic Estate Wedding – Adria & Michael

Adria and Michael met when Adria began working at Michael’s catering company in 2012. After the first time they met they were inseparable. On his birthday, April 9, 2016, Adria planned a surprise birthday party for him (at the same place they got married!) and right as he was about to blow out the candles on his birthday cake in front of about 80 people he asked for her dad’s permission to marry me! Then he got down on one knee and proposed. “It was the BEST surprise ever!”

This happy couple planned their wedding on July 4th weekend and wanted to make sure every aspect of their day was a lot less formal and more fun and party themed. They had over 40 trees lit up in red, white and blue and they had a cafe lights strung across the yard with a huge dancefloor in the yard for dancing under the stars.

As far as decór goes, they envisioned a Tuscan feel (neutral colours, farmhouse tables, lots of candles, eucalyptus and different textured cloths and napkins with pops of white roses and peonies). They had a friends mum frame some of their favorite scriptures that she had printed and they placed them all over the house. “I love the texture of canvas drop cloth so we actually made our own napkins and stamped them (all 250) with our last name ‘Miele’. I ordered gauze fabric table runners from a cute little shop on etsy (hey, LinenLark!) We used bamboo silverware and some guests actually loved it so much that they took it home with them that night! We wanted everything to be unique and we think we really achieved that!”

“I was dead set on eucalyptus with white flowers! On our farmhouse tables we had greenery garland that went from one end to the other and on our round tables we had simple eucalyptus and rose centerpieces. My bouquet had greens and 2 flowers that were very sentimental to me in that I had one of each of my grandfathers favorite flowers in my bouquet – gladiolus and gardenia… my moms hair clip also had the same flowers as well as my dad’s boutonnière.”

“We had our favorite ice cream parlor, Brusters, come and serve ice cream for dessert as well as our favorite local coffee shop, Alabaster. We had the best live entertainment- Trésco played during the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception. Tommy Wareham played our dinner music which the guests complimented all night long! We had rented this awesome antique furniture from Swoon Vintage Rentals which I was obsessed with, along with our farmhouse tables from Weir Event Rentals. We also loved how we personalized the lighting at the house…everything was PERFECT!”
