Destination wedding – Evelyn & Lorcain

Evelyn and Lorcain wanted to do something different and surprise their family and friends, hence deciding on a destination wedding in Majorca. They both have similar tastes and like timeless, classic and understated vibes so they chose their venues, both the church and the reception, because of the beautiful architecture and breath-taking views. The happy couple wanted to showcase these and make the most of the beautiful scenery.

On the morning of the wedding, Lorcain sent his brothers to Evelyn’s room with a beautiful diamond bracelet and she sent him a Breitling watch which he’d had his eye on.

Evelyn’s wedding dress was an Alan Hannah dress but it was amended because she loved the top but the original skirt was much smaller, she wanted a bigger ‘princess’ dress so they asked the designer if he would put the skirt of another dress with her top – so it ended up being a unique and bespoke dress!

The theme of the wedding was quite classic and understated with white, navy and pale pinks throughout with lots of candlelight and fresh flowers. One of their main priorities was having top quality food and wine for our guests, so they focused a lot of their preparation and planning around this.

They had a soprano and organist, Merce and Marga, for the ceremony, they provided a beautiful mix of old and new music including Bach’s Cantata, Alleluia, and Ellie Goulding’s ‘How long will I love you’.

Instead of an immediate honeymoon, Evelyn and Lorcain spent few days before and after their wedding in Port Soller with family and friends – they then went to Formentera for a few days to recover afterwards. They made the decision to go on their honeymoon 3 months later to Vietnam. Evelyn said “I would totally recommend waiting a couple of months after your wedding to do your ‘main’ honeymoon if you can as it’s great to still have something to look forward to when all the partying’s over!” – great bit of advice!
