Elegant Downtown Wedding – Catherine & Alex
Catherine and Alex were destined to find each other – Alex grew up in the Pittsburgh area and Catherine in Louisiana. As fate would have it, their careers took each of them to Seattle where they met, fell in love, and currently live. During their Catholic wedding ceremony, the priest told the story of how they met… As they were both devout in their faith, they each became involved in a Catholic church in Seattle. One day while working on a service project at a local women’s shelter organised by their church, they were introduced and immediately hit it off. Alex eventually proposed and they decided that they would have the wedding back in Pennsylvania in Alex’s hometown so that it might be easier for family and friends to travel.
The couple shared a special moment right before the mass by holding hands and praying together outside of the church while staying on opposite sides of the wall so they wouldn’t be able to see each other. The colour palette for the day was very neutral and classic, white and champagne with pops of blush and lush greenery. Bridesmaids were dressed in blush and groomsmen in black tuxes. The reception was held at one of Pittsburgh’s most interesting venues, The Grand Concourse, an old train station turned upscale restaurant. They danced the night away with 130 of their closest friends and families.
