Epping Forest Yacht Club Wedding – Jillian & Michael

Jillian and Michael had a smores bar, DIY photo booth, greenery dripping from the tables, and even a flash mob! These are definitely our kind of people!! They had a beautiful Jewish ceremony on the back lawn of the country club and then an outside reception with over the top details including a live band under a tent who even danced like Michael Jackson.

Jillian said that when they met, "we were living in new york city. Mike was in residency and I was in graduate school. We were both doing the new york city dating thing until each of our friends put our profiles on an online dating website. Neither one of us wanted to do online dating but we met early on in the process and the rest is history!"

When it came to the proposal, "we had been living together for many years so making it a surprise was not easy! Mike managed to fly in both of our families for the weekend. He told me were going for a hike with our friends at our favorite state park so I was not dressed for the occasion! We were walking along the river "waiting for our friends" when he got down on one knee and proposed. Afterwards he said we should go inside to call our families (there was an old carriage house/inn that had been turned into a restaurant) and when we got inside our entire family was there to surprise me. It was extremely romantic and a huge shock!"

"We had our wedding planned at a venue in philadelphia originally. Then we moved to Jacksonville. When we saw Epping Forest we looked at each other and instantly knew we needed to get married there. It is so romantic and there's so much natural beauty so I really wanted to keep that theme going. Instead of going with the traditional flower decorations I opted for lots of candlelight and greenery with antique furniture and some rustic elements. Earthy, romantic, warm, with a lot ofpersonal touches. I wanted it to really reflect our personalities and I wanted our guests to feel at home."

On the day, "the weather was beautiful, everyone we love was there, andthanks to our wonderful vendors everything ran smoothly. It really was the perfect day. Though i do wish i had eaten more cake!!"

"Our sister and brother organized a flash mob at our wedding!!! out of nowhere everyone started doing a choreographed dance to "uptown funk" by Bruno Mars. It was really amazing! And the band brought us on stage for karaoke! It was definitely unique and really fun!"

"After the wedding we spent about a week in Napa and San Francisco. It was the perfect way to wind down after a really busy couple of months."
