Garden inspired shoot in classic sage with electric raspberry

The inspiration for this beautiful styled shoot actually came from an interior design spread in a catalog, which featured a sage green velvet sofa and bright pops of raspberry floral. The colour palette was a breath of fresh air, and still evoked an ethereal vibe but with a modern twist.

The flowers were a key factor in bringing about the garden style. Hints of raspberry scabiosa were tucked into the shadows of the arrangements to bring a sophistication to the design. Finally, the sheer ribbon of Tono and Co brought the final pop of raspberry to the bouquet. The raspberry tones have been brought together so well and they’ve certainly not been overdone. The bouquet was kept simple, with soft pink O Hara garden roses, and trailing jasmine vine.

The cake was thoughtfully considered, and created with a modern approach to styling a traditional tiered buttercream cake. The palette for the cake used the dusky sage to bring some breathing room into the shoot.

Since this shoot was all about the colour palette, it was critical that the dress was a strong support to the aesthetic. By choosing a sleek, modern look with no embellishments, the styled shoot team kept the ease and modernity of the shoot while not sacrificing style!

Like the colour palette concept, the idea was to take a classic, garden style tablescape and add a modern twist. Using a cotton linen tablecloth and a lux runner, paired with coordinating napkins, artfully knotted on top of a reactive glaze pottery plate. Paired with simple, but striking, long stemware, and loosely arranged floral, a lux look that is effortless and accessible was achieved.
