Garden, Kitty-Themed Bridal Shower – Lauren & Lee

This bridal shower is what happens when the Maid of Honor is also a professional wedding planner. “It is always extra special planning an event when it is for someone near and dear; in this case, my best friend, Lauren. We chose a cat theme for Lauren because we call the bride-to-be “meow-meow” — a college nickname. This shower was not only stunning but such an amazing time with close friends and family gathering to celebrate true love and a beautiful bride.”

“To entertain the gals at the event, we had a DIY flower headband station; however, instead of your typical flower headband, we had custom Ariana Grande-inspired cat ears (from Etsy) to decorate. Some even had antlers! We decorated these with flowers from Fiori Flowers and hot glue guns – it was easy, fun, and the ears added decor to the atmosphere. We also had a “pin the moustache on the groom” with a blown-up photo of the Groomie & pink fuzzy moustaches (sorry Lee)! This made for lots of laughs and fantastic jewellery prizes that had everyone actually trying really hard. Lastly, we had 3 custom-made geometric piñatas filled with nail polish/lip gloss.”

“We had dessert for days! Milk Glass Productions painted a giant cat tree gold, on which we displayed 3 gorgeous cakes from Tee and Cakes. We made a “fancy feast” with a doughnut stand and had a variety of doughnuts from Voodoo doughnuts (lucky charms, fruity pebbles, Oreos, etc.). Indulge Bakery had yarn/cat cookies, macaroons and miniature cakes for each place setting. Everything was absolutely beautiful & delicious.”

“Megan Cary Artistry provided hair and make up for ten (ten!) girls. This made for a fun hair/make up trial for the big day — the girls had a blast being pampered all morning. They looked stunning. The signage truly added such an amazing modern element to the event. We had everything laser-cut: welcome cat, place cards, drink stirrers with the bride’s initials in a cat, funny sayings: “are you kitten me?”, “meow”, “Lauren’s Getting Meowied” were all made by the talented Evi and Amaira. The flowers from Lara at Fiori are always stunning — these were over-the-top gorgeous and summery with amazing rose gold vases. Aldabella photography is not only talented but such a pleasure, blast and honour to work with! They truly go above and beyond and moved 4 tents back and forth with us SEVERAL times as we dealt with typical Colorado weather (while still getting the pretty shots without the tents). And last (but not least) Yonder Floral & Decor House’s custom velvet chairs made the boldest statement!”

“We had pre-made delicious cocktails: Beyoncé themed lemonade/vodka cocktail and tequila/watermelon sunrise. We had a mimosa bar with freshly squeezed juices. And of course,e our signature: rose, rose, rose…I wish it could have lasted longer!”
