Glamorous Historic Venue Wedding – Lacey & Kurt

Lacey and Kurt have been together for 4 years, and Lacey says that when it came to their proposal, “it was a Friday afternoon August 11, 2017, we live a mile from the beach so we decided to take a walk and he wanted to set crab pots. Well, the bugs were AWFUL- anyone who lives near the water knows that bugs + no breeze = a terrible time. So, we turned around and went to a different part of the beach where we look for seaglass. No bugs in sight! As we were leaving the beach, I was walking ahead of him making my last effort to find a piece of sea glass. I hear him behind me say “Hey Lace, look at this one I just found” and I turn around and he is on one knee. The rest is history. I was a crying mess!!”

They got married at the Historic Post Office which is right in their home town of Hampton Roads, and was such an elegant choice for their day. Lacey seriously had some of the most stunning details she picked out for her getting ready photos. Everything went together so perfectly. The glamorous jewellery and shoes paired next to her blue and blush invitation suite went so pretty side by side. The couple had a traditional ceremony held at St. Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Church.

The weather could not of been nicer, and after their “I do’s” they had orchestrated a ribbon wand send off right outside of the church. It was such a great celebration of them becoming husband and wife! After that they all headed back to The Historic Post Office to finish up photos, and get ready for the reception. Following their introductions the couple shared their first dance together where after a few moments of slow dancing together they busted into the “Tootsie Roll!” The whole place erupted in laughter watching the two of them having so much fun! The two danced the night away surrounded by all their friends and family.
