Gritty and Playful Pittsburgh Neighborhoods Hometown Engagement Session – Emily & Bryan
Bryan and Emily were both born in the Pittsburgh area and met through their work. They're having a non-traditional wedding and wanted their engagement photos to reflect that.
They started out their day at Carrie Furnaces, which is the former blast furnace for a derelict steel mill just outside of the town. After exploring there, they headed off to Lawrenceville and walked around the neighborhood and through alleyways. Emily and Bryan enjoy fixing up old homes as a couple and rejuvenating Pittsburgh in that way. Emily's Lawrenceville renovation is now fully complete - so she and Bryan are on to their next project.
The final stop on their engagement session was at their new married home in Spring Hill - which was under construction too. They were able to have a lot of fun images taken in their empty house, which captures this time of development in their lives.
Thank you to Kristen Wynn Photography for sharing these images with us - we couldn't help but smile because whenever we decorate we end up with paint all over each other and we can just picture a paint fight starting out after this session!
