Light to dark Styled Shoot
Elizaveta, of Elizaveta Photography, said that The idea from this photo shoot came about from an unusual pairing of two sources: the designer and the location. "When I saw Elodie’s (Ofildelo) creations, I instantly loved the idea that her pieces were interchangeable. It gives so much flexibility to the bride and lets her change her style throughout her wedding day. The idea for the concept – light to dark – was born when I found the location for the photo shoot. I wanted something modern and minimalist, which was a nice change from the regular outdoor forest shoots. We were lucky enough to have this modern apartment in the heart of Paris that has an immaculate style. What I love about it is the giant wall of windows (tough to find in the city) and the contrasting white and dark blue walls."
"It mirrored the idea that the bride can be soft and surrounded by light, or very dramatic."
"We imagined something straightforward for the photo shoot, so we kept the decor to a minimum, focusing on the sharp contrasts instead. Makeup artist Elodie Alaton understood the minimalist theme of the shoot and did an excellent natural makeup."
"I had seen the headpieces of Felicia from Bijoux en pagaille and loved their delicate, organic style, which almost glowed on our model Tahnee’s red hair and dark background. We continued this theme of simplicity and nature in the bouquet, which consisted simply of feuillage. These types of bouquets have such a unique range of greens that added a lot of depth to the images. One of my favourite little details – the hand-dyed silk ribbon, which my Mom made for me (I use them on my packaging) and that I bought all the way from Canada. I was so happy to give it a little place in this photo shoot."
