Neo Mint Summer Affair
It’s easy to see that the Pantone Neo-Mint colour for 2020 is striking. The vision for this editorial was to create something beautiful with a little bold while being attainable for couples planning their weddings.
The original idea for florals was painted. But as with a lot of styled shoots, the organiser chose not to hold any of the vendors to a specific must-have style, that way people can have creative freedom and a little guidance. Jordan did such an incredible job. She added in these gorgeous pops of tropical palm leaves that she painted. It was such an awesome addition to the shoot especially because the season is summer and who doesn’t love palms?
The cake was inspired by the mixed elements of geometric gold leaf, subtly textured buttercream and a lovey shade of mint. These elements were tied together by an asymmetrical floral placement that still softened the more modern lines of the cake.
The dress was a beautiful ball gown and then the bride wore a simple and delicate reception style dress.
The delicious and elegant chocolates were handmade by the amazing cake artist. April from Spencers Sugar Shop also made some amazing mint lollipops with pops of gold. I have such a sweet tooth, and mint is one of my favourite colours so when I saw these, it got me dreaming of a future vow renewal – I’ll be popping these pictures right on my Pinterest board (am I right?!)
Linens, table runner, napkins, plates, flatware and glassware were all hand picked by the photographer. There are definitely modern elements like the dinner plates from Anthropologie where the team just had to add in that awesome pop of neo-mint colour.
