Red, White and Blue Inspired Wedding
When we saw the moodboard for this red, white and blue inspired wedding shoot we just knew we had to see it when it was finished. The photographer, Jennifer Nicole Photography, is not only a talented individual but she’s also a really nice person and that can make a huge difference to the whole vibe of a wedding day!! She says that the inpiration for this shoot when she thought, “every year July 4th, Memorial Day, etc comes along and I NEVER have anything to post on social media. I decided to change that. So I planned a red, white and blue shoot and featured a military couple because it only seemed appropriate. We hosted the shoot at Field Manor, a Historic venue with so much history tied to it. The inside is set up almost like a museum, but the outside is absolutely gorgeous. Sitting right on the water on the west side of the Island, the sunset was perfect. The day started off nice but we quickly endured typical Florida afternoon weather. It poured and we scrambled to get everything under their porch. This severely delayed our set up but we somehow made it work. The skies cleared up just in time for sunset.”
Loren and Adam are a real couple which is something we love seeing on styled shoots, so the relationship is real between the “models”. Loren is in the beauty industry and Adam served the country as a US Marine and has been retired for 14 years. Adam hadn’t worn his dress blues in 14 years so he said that he dieted all week prior to the shoot to make sure he could fit in it!
This stunning red, white and blue inspired wedding shoot a hand-crafted cake which featured old fashioned features to match the history of the venue. The top had stars and striped bow and the bottom was lined with wooden like planks with stars airbrushed on. The cake was perfect to showcase for this venue. Sweet Miss V’s also made mini blueberry pies and red velvet shooters which paired the dessert station together nicely.
The florist had brought an A arch which overlooked the water and made the perfect backdrop! Jennifer Nicole says that “between the bouquets, milk jar centerpieces and the arch, these florals were a photographer’s dream! We also feature lounge furniture which is becoming more popular for shoots and weddings. The red couch and blue chairs were showstoppers.
We also had catering, custom chocolates and several paper good vendors who helped make this shoot complete.’
While all vendors were amazing, I think one of my favorite parts of the shoot was the hand-painted acrylic signs. The Welcome sign was GORGEOUS and I loved the creativity behind the chair signs.
Our hair and makeup artist rocked the current trends with hair and makeup too!”
