The Regency at Dominion Valley Wedding – Kimberly & Jason

Kimberly loves anything nautical and weathered, and Jason likes clean lines and modern touches. They both love rich colors. Neither are particularly religious and preferred to find a venue that accommodated an outdoor wedding that suited their vision of being on the water. Some of Kimberly’s favourite memories growing up were visiting her family’s lake house. Together Kimberley and Jason married their independent visions at the Regency at Dominion Valley.

The wedding colours were navy, raspberry, and a light coastal blue. Navy played a particularly significant role given that Jason is a police officer. The ceremony space was outdoors in an amphitheater located on the property’s pond.

Jason’s mentor served as the officiate and made the couple laugh and cry as he read their personalised vows. The cocktail hour space was on the patio overlooking the large pond. The reception ballroom already had a colour palette suited for nautical touches, and the dark wood floors added a smooth richness to the foyer. The venue had also recently been remodeled, so Jason loved the updated, clean feel to the space. The natural light and terrace brought a warm feel and allowed guests to mingle indoors and outdoors all night.

Each dining table was lined with a navy tablecloth, white napkins, and white lanterns surrounded by clear mason jars filled with flowers. Conversely, the head table was lined with white tablecloths and navy napkins, and the couple was surrounded by their wedding party and closest friends. Silver chivari chairs were added to keep the clean, modern appearance.

Given the couple’s love of their dogs, each table number was a picture of one of their dogs or a dog “niece” or “nephew.” Handmade wooden signs and decor were scattered throughout the wedding. Pictures of the couple in wooden or nautical frames were also scattered around the space.

Their wedding cake was a coastal blue ombre cake frosted to look like soft waves. Kimberly’s aunt was also kind enough to make a grooms cake, which was a replica of Jason’s police uniform. Jason was shocked!

On the grand piano sat two pictures with a candle. Each picture frame contained a picture of the bride and groom’s fathers, who sadly passed years prior.

At the end of the night, guests lit sparklers to send the couple off to their first night as a married couple. Some couples say the wedding day goes by too fast, you don’t remember to eat, and you cant say hello to every guest. That was not the case for these two. They soaked in every moment, spent time with loved ones, and they most definitely ate.
