Boudoir, Styled Shoots

Romantic Boudoir Styled Shoot

With exposed brick walls and wooden beams, a palette of cream and blush felt perfectly warm in this beautifully bright studio. Looks ranged from demure – a cosy blanket and sweater – to sexy – heels with a hint of naughty in a black strappy set.

This styled boudoir session took place in snowy Wisconsin in early January when the temperatures were below zero; inspiration was drawn directly from this! Knowing that the private studio had terrific golden light, the styled shoot team chose to use warm elements (a contrast to the weather outside) to tell the story. They focused on including knit sweaters, cosy blankets, and wood tones. Long sleeve bodysuits and leg warmers were another comfy addition. The flowers even mirrored the colours of a summer sunset.

There’s a recent trend of brides and grooms moving away from the traditional “day-of” wedding gifts for each other. Modern day brides and grooms are looking for other options that are different to anything that they’ve gifted before. Steamy boudoir albums are a sassy way to let your almost-spouse know you’re excited about your wedding day and puts just a whisper of “naughty” in the back of their mind to save for later!
