When you travel through Mexico you quickly realise the people remember their culture and embrace the modern at the same time. For this Cinco de Mayo wedding, the styled shoot team were inspired by the warmth, colour, art, and culture mixed with the modern cities you experience in Mexico.
From the Wedding Planner/Director: “When I think of Mexico, I think of bold colors, romance, passion and art. I wanted to bring these elements to life through this inspiration shoot. Our bride was excited to embrace this part of her heritage. I chose Walker Court at the Art Gallery of Ontario as it is reminiscent of a beautiful Mexican hacienda with its emphasis on solid simplicity and Spanish Colonial architectural elements. The brightly colored Mexican dinnerware on a rustic table, covered with lace, looked beautiful against the marble of the art gallery. We ventured into the gallery where the warm hues and beautiful paintings were the perfect backdrops for our romantic couple. I just love the bright, bold pops of colours that you find everywhere in Mexico, so I wanted to bring those into this shoot. We further celebrated Mexican color with a complete palatte change of all florals and clothing, we even decorated our beautiful groom in flowers!”
