Rustic Barn Wedding – Jessica & Vincent

Jessica and Vincent met in a modern day romance… on Tinder. Neither of them was looking to find love but when they came across each other they both knew it was meant to be. They felt as though they had been friends forever and it felt natural.

“We have a tradition of going to Atlanta for our anniversary. While we were at the Atlanta aquarium a couple got engaged in front of the shark tank. I made a joke saying that is how I want to be asked. A year later and he asked me to marry him in front of the aquarium at the Florida Aquarium in Tampa. It was a magical day. He surprised me with our family there to enjoy the moment together. Now almost two years later and we finally get to say I do.”

“The inspiration behind our day was our parents. We wanted our wedding to be about family, love, and good times. The theme of our wedding was rustic chic. The style incorporated Rustic wooden DIY projects. The colors throughout our wedding included navy and grey accents. We got married in front of a cross. We also placed a cross together during our ceremony to show we will follow God in this life of marriage.”

“The venue already had beautiful decor in the barn. It didn’t take much to decorate the reception besides table runners, centrepieces and table numbers. We added some wooden decorations to the cake table that included each flavor of cupcake. There was a gift table that included a big wooden door for the guest to sign as our guest book. Also, it included a wooden card box. For outside the bar we had signs with cute sayings along with the flowers. For the ceremony it was gorgeous. People entered the ceremony through doors leading to a big cross with gorgeous flowers on it. The aisle was lined with rose petals. The seating towards the aisle contained burlap and metal buckets that contained flowers in them. Throughout the venue bits and pieces of DIY were incorporated throughout the space.”

“Our venue did an amazing job at setting up flowers for the ceremony and reception. The aisle of the ceremony contained rose petals. The cocktail hour had beautiful big barrels with a set of flowers on top. Each table in the reception contained roses and baby’s breath. The best piece was the cross for our ceremony it was roped with amazing roses. The bouquet and boutiners contained similar flowers. They were absolutely gorgeous. They included white roses with accents of navy flowers. The flowers added to the beautiful rustic concept of the wedding.”

“Our favorite part to the wedding was the photo booth that we hired. Looking back at all the photos taken it was a special and fun day with people we love. We incorporated the traditional throwing of the bouquet and throwing of the garter. This was a fun moment for friends and family to laugh at. The most important and favourite part of our wedding overall  was saying I DO.”

“I always knew I wanted a lace wedding gown. However, I thought I would want a strapless dress. When I tried on my wedding dress I knew it was the one. I cried and felt so happy with joy. As for the bridesmaids, I let them choose their favorite gown. They all knew the country chic wedding I was looking to accomplish. My girls picked the perfect dress. As for the men, we figured them dressed in Grey would look great with the navy dresses. It was also a color for the guys that would stand out the most. The attire brought out the theme of the wedding well.”

“The most anticipated moment for our wedding was when we said I DO. We both have been waiting our whole lives to find the one.  This moment was extremely important and special to us. Our vows were another special moment of the wedding. We both spoke our hearts on how much we appreciate each other. Another really special moment was the father-daughter dance and the mother-son dance. I personally have waited my whole life to have this dance with my dad. I am daddy’s little girl and this dance always meant something special to me. For Vince, he had the same experience with his mom. We have bonds with our parents that are indescribable.”
