Soft Winter Wedding Inspiration
This timeless wedding inspiration took place in wine country just outside of Portland, Oregon, by leveraging the expertise of some of Portland’s wonderful wedding vendors. The aim was to tell the story of a playful couple who values the finer things in life. From Oregon’s quintessential rolling vineyards to the highly curated details throughout, the mission was to create an editorial gallery that inspires clients to invest in expensive, high-end, quality details on their wedding day: gold-rimmed china and flatware, blooming orchids and garden roses, flawless bridal styling, a 4-layer tuxedo cake, and a gown that won’t quit. To add a unique personality, this creative team even featured a cotton candy spinner to treat the bride and groom.
We love this wedding inspiration, it really is something uniquely soft and elegant. This styled shoot team focused on natural, muted hues and let the rolling hills of early winter serve as one of the highlights of this shoot. This elevated shoot featured a statement dress and then grew from that piece of inspiration.
The florals were designed to be pieces that served as minimalist but certainly not a bouquet that could be overlooked! Containing both succulents and orchids, this bouquet was designed to be a BOOM effect when paired with the dress and subtle jewellery. Height was brought to the table and that trend also carried to the ceremony alter by utilising pillars and authentic wine barrels.
The wedding cake was a stunner that was inspired by crystals, speckles, and marbling. It was light and airy in that it remained stark white in a majority of the layers with some statement areas. You also see from the photos that this cake was designed on the inside as well with a tuxedo design.
For this shoot, the dress was the piece that initially created the rest of the shoot. “We wanted something full, stark white, minimalistic, and also a LOT of movement.” This bride is very fashion-forward and had a lined veil as well with a sleek updo and accessories to the nines. The groom then complemented the bridal attire with a crisp, clean black suit.
The invitation suite and name cards were designed to be sophisticated yet also a bit whimsical. This couple has a playful flair to them while still wanting an elegant white celebration. This playfulness was added to by including a cotton candy creation onsite for the couple to swoon over and add a fluffy soft component which also went with the bride’s dress.
The tablescape was designed to be clean, soft, and muted. “We wanted guests to have a fully set table, be able to have a conversation through the table, and also have dainty pieces that had lots of character to them. We love all the patterns and feel that the florals from the centrepiece add the perfect complement to pull everything together.”
