Boudoir, Styled Shoots

Spring styled wedding in New England

The Five Bridge Inn was the perfect venue to showcase this styled shoot with a twist! Qian of Q Hegarty Photography Weddings & Portraits says that she “wanted to show this concept by displaying an elegant early summer wedding but also capturing the true essence of a marriage and the romance that goes on solely between the couple after the guests have gone. You will see this gallery’s mood changes throughout the day. I believe a styled shoot should be not only showcasing a look of a wedding but also showing the mix of emotions between the couple.”

This early summer styled shoot consisted of splashes of blush, gold, purple and green. The acres of greenery throughout the Five Bridge Inn were the perfect backdrop for the first half of this styled shoot. The bride was wearing a soft glamorous wedding gown by Lyra Vega Bridal that matched the soft romantic scene and location beautifully. The hairstylist pulled her hair all up to showcase the elegance and flair of the gown. The table setting was simple yet pulled the whole theme together using textured plates to contrast the bright gold chargers, the tablescape added some balance to the soft colours used throughout the shoot. The placement of a single lavender was complemented by the lavender flower filling in the Macaroons. These special macaroons also doubled as place cards and an edible thank you gift for each guest.

The fact that the Inn is available for couples to stay on-site overnight before and after the wedding, made it the supreme spot for the second half of this styled shoot concept. The second look became a little edgier edgy and moody as Qian wanted to show the couple’s deep desire and love for each other as they finally become husband and wife. “I want to show those feelings through more dramatic makeup, a twist on the outfit, our boudoir portion of the shoot and as well as my editing style. It shifts to a more poetic vibe from light, bright, and airy during the day. We wanted to blend the beauty and essence of true romance into the shoot. Linking the the lacy black boots with the ethereal gown showcased the enchantment of a marriage and the years of love ahead!”
