Summer garden wedding – Bea & Dave

This wedding looks so secluded and romantic, our hearts flutter when we look at the photos! Speaking to Jenny from Indigo+Violet Photography, we could tell that she really loves her clients and this was no exception. In the middle of July, the weather was great and 130 people were able to attend this summer garden wedding with the sun shining all day.

Our idea of a cosy getaway would be to go somewhere peaceful with no neighbours overlooking, to have a relaxing time with friends - Bea certainly had the right idea when she had her bridal preparations at Applewood cottage in Shewsbury. Their lovely getting ready venue was hired for the night before the wedding and the brides family and bridesmaids stayed and were fed by the mother of the bride in the morning. *One of our biggest pieces of advice for brides is to make sure you eat something before your ceremony because no matter how excited and nervous you are, nobody wants to have a grumbly tummy or a stomach ache during their wedding ceremony!

We wish we could go back in time, make friends with this couple, and attend their wedding because it looks like a little slice of heaven to us. Details such as the cake being made by family friends, the homemade elderflower gin favours, the flowers in jars along the aisle... can we steal this and have it as our own wedding please?!

This summer garden wedding ceremony and reception took part on land belonging to Dave's family, they had a huge hand in the preparations with things such as cleaning out their horse stables for a getting ready area for guests who were camping on the land (a lot of guests set up tents or parked up campervans ready to stay the night), and not cutting the grass in one particular field for a while so that it could grow longer specifically for photographs - so thoughtful, and we think it was worth it!
