The Turnip Rose Wedding – Sandra & Gary

When asked why Gary and Sandra chose their orange, silver, and grey colour palette for their wedding day, they said it was simply the perfect fit for their October wedding date, and it was! It’s also the main colour of their favourite baseball team – the San Francisco Giants. They absolutely love going to baseball games together, and it was an easy way to incorporate this fun part of their relationship into their wedding day! Their bright and unique colour palette brought even more fun and joy to this already beautiful Southern California Autumn wedding celebration!

The gorgeous and intimate wedding venue Turnip Rose’s Promenade Event Centre and Gardens is a one of a kind event venue located in the heart of Costa Mesa. Right across the street from the event venue is a vineyard that’s perfect for shooting those gorgeous sunset photos! The outdoor ceremony site is a green, open park located in between perfectly manicured towering trees, with a gazebo altar. The gazebo was decorated with elegant draping fabric and gorgeous floral arrangements that created a chic backdrop for the exchanging of vows. It was the perfect venue for these two lovebirds, who both fell in love at first sight.

At the outdoor ceremony, Gary attempted to stay collected while patiently awaiting his soon-to-be bride, who walked down the aisle in a flowing veil and mermaid sweetheart lace gown. Her hair was curled to perfection and tucked back with a delicate gold leaf hairpiece, and she completed her look with diamond dangling earrings, a simple yet elegant necklace, and a dazzling bracelet. Sandra’s bride tribe stood by her side and was dressed in matching light blueish-grey Grecian gowns with a sparkling belt detail. Gary’s groomsmen followed the grey colour palette and wore dark grey detailed suits with shining black shoes, white pocket squares, and orange ties. Gary matched but switched it up a bit by wearing an orange bow tie instead. The florists at Posies and Petals created gorgeous bouquets of orange, pink, and white, which tied in with their refreshing colour palette.

The celebration continued indoors at the reception venue’s intimate ballroom. With a stone floor, and floor to ceiling windows, this ballroom boasted a sophisticated ambience for this couple and their guests to party through the evening! Tunes were provided by a mariachi band and music from Alan Ortiz, and got their guests up out of their seats and partying on the dance floor! Their beautiful three-tiered orange ombre cake from Fantasy Cakes was a delicious twist on the typical plain white wedding cake. This amazing venue also provided a delicious dinner through Turnip Rose Elite Catering. Gary and Sandra’s Orange County fall wedding with a refreshing colour theme was definitely one for the books!
