Wedding at the Hyatt Regency – Emily & Richard

Emily and Richard met online, on eharmony. It was Emily’s first online dating experience, and she feels that she is very lucky to have found him. When Richard proposed, he did so on a sunny day at the beachl; he asked her if she wanted to go for a walk along the water. With no one else around, he got down on one knee and popped the question. Emily says that she was was especially touched because the engagement ring was his grandmother’s ring. “The ring is timeless and beautiful.”

Their wedding decor was very simple – votive candles, and sand/sea shell center pieces. Emily also gathered rustic signs from various stores that centered around celebrating love. The bridesmaids carried blush pink roses, and Emily had white roses and white lilies. “I love the smell of lilies, and they remind me of my father, who passed away when I was twenty years old.  It reminded me that he was with me on our special day.”

“Most of our wedding guests were from out of town, so we wanted to have a long wedding weekend at the beach! We got married  at Saint Cecelia’s Catholic Church and had our reception was at the Hyatt Regency Resort and Spa in Clearwater Beach. Our closest family and friends spent the weekend celebrating our nuptials. We spent time going to the beach, boating, and hanging out by the pool to celebrate.”

“We had our good friend, Jen the DJ, play music at both our rehearsal dinner at Carlouel Yacht Club, as well as our wedding reception at the Hyatt. She did such an amazing job, played all of our favorites, and had our wedding guests up and dancing. At our rehearsal dinner, we also had a wedding video, where our family and friends sent in clips of themselves wishing us well and giving marriage advice. It was a nice touch, that got everyone involved. Some favorite parts of the wedding was celebrating on the sky terrace before the wedding reception with my family, dancing with my new husband, and having fun with our friends.”
