Wedding Atop The Tuckerton Lighthouse – Katherine & Chris

“We met through a mutual friend, who was one of our groomsmen, while we were studying at RPI. We dated for three years there, but have been in a long distance relationship for the past five years while we pursed our PhDs in engineering at different universities on opposite sides of the country. We’ll soon be reunited in the North East!”

“We got engaged while hiking in El Paso, TX.  Chris got us lost on the way up and I wanted to turn around and go back for most of the way up! When we got to the top, he proposed!”

There were some DIY elements to their day, including their wedding invitations which were homemade using paper purchased from Cards and Pockets, but Katherine and her mom designed, printed and cut them all. Katherine said that “a lot of decorations, paper items, the hotel bags, and party favors, etc. were made by my mom and I together, so pictures of those details are sentimental to me. It reminds me of how much fun we had preparing for the wedding together.”
