Winter White Equestrian Estate Wedding – Sheridan & Jase

Planning a wedding on her family’s equestrian estate just three months after her twin sister hosted her own wedding there, small-town Midwest bride Sheridan knew that she wanted to tie in unique, glamorous details to set her day apart. The estate, where Sheridan grew up, boasts acres upon acres of rolling Kansas hills, a beautiful stone entry drive to greet her wedding guests, a beautiful horse barn for an intimate family-only ceremony, and a full-size show arena to seat over 300 guests for a reception to remember. The day began with the girls gathered in Sheridan’s family home, getting ready in Sheridan’s childhood bedroom. It was a sweet moment seeing Sheridan’s mom and sisters help her to get dressed in the very room where they have shared so many secrets, laughs, and tears over the years. The ceremony was set up for family members and a few close friends in the mare barn. White draping, a mantle adorned with flowing greenery, candles lining the aisle all paired with the old brick floor created a romantic, intimate atmosphere for exchanging vows.

While ceremony guests enjoyed cocktails in the barn’s breezeway, Sheridan and Jase along with their wedding party, stepped outside for a few photos despite the frigid Kansas cold and the snow-covered ground. With fur shawls for the bridesmaids and a long fur cape for Sheridan, the wedding party brought a touch of warm elegance to the freezing outdoors. As the sun began to set, guests arrived for the reception. As they stepped foot in the arena, there were many “ooh’s” and “aah’s” as eyes fell upon the completely transformed barn. It was truly a stunning reception with the white furniture paired with dirt floors, and the crystal chandelier hanging from the rafters.
